Junk removal across Brazos County

Brazos County is home base for ME3 Junk Solutions. Two cities, three rural communities, and very different trash rules depending on which side of a city line you're on.

Bryan is the county seat, and College Station sits right beside it, so most of Brazos County lives in one of the two cities. Outside them, the county runs south toward the meeting of the Navasota and Brazos rivers through pasture and post oak woods. ME3 Junk Solutions covers all of it: junk removal in Bryan, junk removal in College Station, and the smaller places, with junk removal in Kurten, junk removal in Millican and junk removal in Wellborn.

Housing here doesn't look like the counties around it. Renters outnumber owners county-wide, much of the housing is fairly new, and mobile homes are a small slice compared with Burleson or Grimes. In town that means apartment move-outs and rental turnovers. Past the city limits it means acreage, barns and older homesteads.

Two cities, two sets of curb rules

Brazos County covers 588 square miles between the Navasota and Brazos rivers. Inside its two cities, crews pick up brush and bulky items every week, but the details differ.

Bryan wants brush and bulky waste in separate piles, at least five feet from fences, parked cars and meters, and caps it at 22 cubic yards per home per week. College Station also wants separate piles, at the curb by 8 a.m., and won't take a freon appliance unless a technician has tagged it. The Brazos Valley disposal guide lines the two cities up side by side.

Past the city limits

Out past Bryan and College Station, the city crews don't come by. Rural households in Kurten, Millican and Wellborn's county side have to sort out their own trash.

Brazos County keeps its rural collection-site locations, hours and rules on its trash collection page. Read the current version there before you load the truck. For the couch, the old fridge or a barn's worth of stuff, text ME3 Junk Solutions a few photos and get a range.

The landfill, the HHW event and the storms

For a self-haul, Twin Oaks Landfill is on State Highway 30 in Anderson, over the line in Grimes County. BVSWMA, Inc., which the cities formed in 2010, opened it in 2011 and runs it. Its current hours, fees and rules live on the Twin Oaks Landfill website, so check there before you hitch up a trailer.

Paint, pool chemicals and other household chemicals go to BVSWMA's household hazardous waste collection, open to Brazos County and six neighboring counties. Neighborhood groups can also sign up for the yearly Brazos Valley Community Clean-up Challenge.

TCEQ's list shows the next event on Oct. 24, 2026, at 3380 University Drive East in College Station.

On the storm side, Brazos County was in FEMA's February 2021 winter storm declaration and the July 2024 Hurricane Beryl declaration. Downed limbs in town fall under each city's brush rules. Out in the country, check the county's page before you count on a site taking them.

Questions

Brazos County: questions

What do Brazos County's rural trash sites need from me?
The county sets those rules and can change them, so go by its trash collection page for current sites, hours and what each one takes. If the load is too big for a site run, ME3 Junk Solutions can haul it from your property.
