Hauling and cleanouts in Burleson County
Burleson County stretches from the Brazos River bottoms to Lake Somerville. ME3 Junk Solutions works the towns and the farm roads in between.
Caldwell is the county seat, at the crossing of SH 21 and SH 36, and it's the biggest town in Burleson County. ME3 Junk Solutions covers junk removal in Caldwell, then down SH 36 to junk removal in Lyons and junk removal in Somerville by the lake, plus junk removal in Snook on the east side near the river.
This is owner-occupied, rural country. Most homes are owned, not rented, and mobile homes make up a far bigger share of the housing than they do next door in Brazos County. That points to property cleanouts, outbuildings and fence lines more than apartment turnovers.
The land between the river and the lake
Burleson County covers 668 square miles in the Post Oak Belt. The Brazos River marks its whole eastern border, and Yegua Creek forms the southern and western edges. Since 1967, Somerville Lake, an 11,160-acre reservoir on Yegua Creek, has given the county flood protection and a steady stream of visitors.
How the county collection stations work
Burleson County runs collection stations at Lyons, Deanville, Tunis, Chriesman and Rita. They're for county residents and landowners, and every vehicle that hauls trash needs a yearly sticker. The county amended its station rules in September 2026, so read the current version before your first trip. Under the posted rules:
- Stations take residential waste only, never commercial loads.
- Construction materials such as shingles, sheetrock, PVC and siding are refused.
- Freon appliances are refused.
- Tires go only to the Precinct 1 station in Deanville, off the rim.
Where the station rules leave a gap
Put those rules next to the housing and the gap is easy to see. More than one in four Burleson County homes is a mobile home, and roughly two-thirds are single-family houses, most on land. When one of those places gets remodeled, re-roofed or cleared out for a sale, the shingles, sheetrock, old refrigerator and worn-out tires are exactly what the stations turn away.
That's the work ME3 Junk Solutions does here. You stage it and we haul it, or Matthew and Eddie carry it out from wherever it sits. Remodel debris and other dense loads are priced by weight and handling, and everything is settled before loading.
Caldwell and Somerville do it their own way
The two cities run their own systems. Caldwell's sanitation crews handle bulk pickup by request through the utility office, but won't take any appliance that holds refrigerant. Somerville runs a Collection Station on FM 1361 for city residents and its outside-city utility customers. Our Brazos Valley disposal guide covers both.
For a self-haul, BVSWMA's Twin Oaks Landfill sits in Anderson; look up its hours and fees on the Twin Oaks site first. Burleson County is one of seven counties on BVSWMA's household hazardous waste list, and communities here can enter the yearly Brazos Valley Community Clean-up Challenge.
The next hazardous waste collection on TCEQ's list is Oct. 24, 2026, in College Station.
FEMA has included Burleson County in the May 2016 flooding declaration, Hurricane Harvey in 2017 for public assistance, the February 2021 winter storm and Hurricane Beryl in 2024.
