Junk removal in Bryan, from the Eastside to RELLIS

Bryan's city crews take a lot at the curb, but not everything. For the rest, from a full estate to a pile of tile and drywall, text ME3 Junk Solutions some photos.

Bryan is the older of the twin cities and the Brazos County seat, a job it took over from Boonville in 1866. The town is named for William Joel Bryan, a nephew of Stephen F. Austin, who gave the townsite land to the Houston and Texas Central Railroad. Downtown Bryan joined the National Register of Historic Places in 2026, with 104 properties including the Carnegie History Center, the LaSalle Hotel and the Queen Theatre. A few blocks east, the city set up the Eastside Historic District in 1983 to keep the character of its older homes.

That age shows up in the houses. A third of Bryan's homes were built before 1980, about half are rented, and 7.4% are mobile homes. Out west, the RELLIS campus sits on the old Bryan Army Air Field. Bryan jobs run from estate cleanouts in the older neighborhoods to rental turnovers to tear-outs. Two get their own pages: furniture removal in Bryan and light demolition in Bryan, for the shed, deck or hot tub that has to come apart first.

How bulky pickup works in Bryan

Bryan runs brush and bulky collection once a week, Monday through Friday. Furniture, appliances and big branches all count. Have it at the curb by 7 a.m. on your day, or 6 a.m. June through August, and don't put it out more than 48 hours early.

Placement matters. Piles need to sit at least five feet from buildings, fences, posts, hydrants, parked cars and meters, and not under branches or power lines. Brush and bulky go in two separate piles, and brush gets cut into pieces no longer than eight feet. If the crew skips something, you'll find a door hanger saying why.

There's a cap, too: 22 cubic yards, about one truckload, per home per week. Past that you pay extra or haul it to Twin Oaks yourself. The Brazos Valley disposal guide compares Bryan's rules with College Station's.

What Bryan's crews leave behind

The curb service won't take household chemicals, and leaving them out can earn a citation. It also skips leftover construction and demolition material from remodels, landscaping, sidewalks and driveways, plus concrete, brick and rock. The 95-gallon cart is off-limits for furniture, appliances, construction debris and electronics.

Refrigerators, freezers and AC units are a special case. Bryan charges to pick them up and certify the refrigerant, even if the unit is empty, unless it was certified first. Tires go to the city's Used Oil and Tire Recycling Center at 1111 Waco St., free for Bryan residents, up to eight per visit and off the rim.

Older homes, a commuter college and an old air base

Bryan's rental market isn't just A&M overflow. Blinn's Bryan Campus is a commuter school, and Blinn has no housing in Bryan or at RELLIS. Its students who move out of the family home end up renting here like everyone else.

RELLIS covers 3,300 acres north of the Brazos River and west of town. Before it was a Texas A&M campus it was Bryan Army Air Field in World War II, then Bryan Air Force Base. Back in town, the Eastside district was created to protect the character of Bryan's older homes.

What the work looks like here

Estate cleanouts in the older neighborhoods
When a parent's house has to be emptied, it's usually decades of furniture, closets and a full garage. ME3 Junk Solutions works at the family's pace and takes only what you point to.
Garage and attic clears
Older homes have the attic space and the detached garage, and that's where things pile up. Getting it down the ladder is the part most people can't do alone.
Rental turnovers
With about half of homes rented, landlords here clear units between tenants all year. One photo per room is usually enough for a range.
Remodel debris the curb won't take
Bathroom tile, old cabinets, a pile of broken brick. Bryan's curb crews skip that material, so it needs a hauler. Dense loads are quoted by weight.

Appliance removal in Bryan

Bryan will take a washer or dryer with the weekly bulky pickup. A fridge, freezer or AC unit costs extra to have the city certify the refrigerant, even if it's empty. If you'd rather not wait for your day or haul it to Twin Oaks, ME3 Junk Solutions can carry it out of the kitchen and take it. The landfill's charge for handling the refrigerant is built into the price you hear up front. See appliance removal.

Construction debris removal in Bryan

Bryan's curb service specifically refuses leftover material from remodeling, landscaping, sidewalk and driveway projects. That covers most of what a weekend renovation produces. Lumber, cabinets, flooring, drywall and broken brick get loaded and hauled, with heavy material priced by weight. Concrete from a sidewalk or driveway job isn't something we haul yet. More on construction debris removal.

Estate cleanouts in Bryan

A third of Bryan homes date from before 1980, many in neighborhoods like the Eastside. When one of those houses has to be emptied for a sale, it's rarely one weekend's work. ME3 Junk Solutions walks it first, gives one firm price, and works room by room, setting aside anything the family wants kept. See estate cleanouts for how it works.

Material delivery in Bryan

The same trailer that hauls junk out can bring material in. ME3 Junk Solutions delivers mulch, topsoil, fill dirt, sand, gravel, crushed concrete and river rock around Bryan for homeowners, landlords, property managers and contractors. It's dump-and-go: the pile lands where you point. The delivery fee goes by distance from the supplier, and the pricing page has the tiers.

Questions

Junk removal in Bryan: questions

What does a door hanger mean after Bryan's bulky crew skips part of my pile?
It means the crew left something on purpose, and the notice says why. Hazardous items get an orange sticker. Fix what the notice flags before the next pickup, or text ME3 Junk Solutions a photo if you'd rather have it hauled.
Can I haul an over-limit pile to Twin Oaks myself from Bryan?
Yes. Bryan says anything over the weekly limit can be collected for an extra fee, or you can take it to Twin Oaks Landfill yourself. Check current hours, fees and accepted items on the Twin Oaks website first.
Does Bryan have city curbside recycling?
No. Bryan doesn't run its own curbside recycling. Residents who want it subscribe to a city-permitted private recycler.
