Furniture removal, carried out and hauled off

Couches, sofas, recliners, mattresses, dressers, desks, dining sets and other bulky furniture, carried out, loaded and hauled off.

The new sectional comes Saturday, and the old one is still in the living room. It took three people to get it in years ago, and two of them have moved away. You need it gone before the delivery truck shows up. ME3 Junk Solutions carries it out, loads it and takes it away.

This is for anyone with a piece of furniture too big, too heavy or too awkward to move alone: homeowners making room for something new, renters on the way out, and families clearing a room for a parent moving in.

What this covers

  • Couches, sofas, sectionals, sleepers and recliners
  • Mattresses and box springs, subject to disposal rules
  • Dressers, desks, dining sets, tables, cabinets, hutches and beds
  • Exercise equipment: ellipticals, treadmills and similar. Weight, stairs and disassembly matter

The hard part is getting it out the door

Furniture doesn't get heavier with age, but the path out always seems smaller. A sleeper sofa has a steel frame inside. A dresser is easier with the drawers pulled. A bed frame or a big desk may need to come apart to clear a hallway. That's normal, and the crew plans for it.

Most furniture jobs fit one of two levels. If you can roll it to the garage or the driveway, that's ME3 Express. If it's upstairs, in a back bedroom or behind a tight turn, that's White Glove, where the crew takes it from where it sits. Tell us about stairs and narrow doors when you text photos, and the range you get will match the job.

Pricing for one piece or a houseful

Furniture is priced by the space it takes in the trailer. A recliner takes less than a sectional, and a full bedroom set takes more than either. Disassembly and long carries can add to it, and that gets settled before the crew lifts anything.

You get a firm price before loading, and it doesn't change unless you add pieces. The pricing page has the starting ranges for common items like a sofa or recliner.

What the cities will and won't do

Bryan picks up bulky items like furniture once a week. The pile has to sit at least five feet from buildings, fences, cars, meters and hydrants, and brush has to be in its own pile. College Station also takes furniture at the curb every week, as long as it's out by 8 a.m. on collection day.

Navasota is different. It has no curbside bulky pickup at all. Residents haul up to four bulky items per load, like couches and mattresses, to the city's Recycle Center on Saturdays. If you don't have a truck, or you have more than four pieces, that's a long day.

Local detail for the two biggest cities is on the pages for furniture removal in College Station and furniture removal in Bryan.

The furniture jobs that come up most

Most furniture calls are one of a handful of jobs. Each has its own wrinkle, so it helps to know which one yours is.

  • The swap: the new couch or bed is coming, and the old one has to be out first.
  • The empty nest: a kid's bedroom set, a bunk bed and a desk after someone moves out for good.
  • The downsize: a dining set and china hutch that won't fit the next place.
  • The home office: a heavy desk, a file cabinet and a chair that gave out.
  • The patio: outdoor furniture that's faded, rusted or cracked after too many Texas summers.

Mattresses are their own question

People ask about mattresses more than any other single piece. There's no state mattress recycling program in Texas. The industry's Mattress Recycling Council runs programs only in California, Connecticut, Oregon and Rhode Island, the states with mattress recycling laws.

So a mattress here goes to curb pickup where a city allows it, to a drop-off like Navasota's, or out with a hauler. If you're replacing a bed, ME3 Junk Solutions can take the old mattress, box spring and frame in one trip.

Usable pieces and heavy pieces

A solid table or a clean dresser can have a second life. When it's practical, usable furniture goes to donation or reuse. Point out the pieces you'd like to see go that way.

Treadmills and ellipticals get lumped in with furniture, but they're heavier than they look and usually need to come apart. Mention the make if you know it. There's more in getting rid of a treadmill or exercise equipment.

“They were so helpful. We had a big moving company fall through right before we had to be out and he showed up within 30 minutes and worked with our budget. Very friendly and quick. I would definitely recommend and use again for any moving needs. He was able to load big items by himself as well!”

“I HIGHLY recommend Eddie with ME III Junk Solutions. We were in a bind and needed some fairly heavy items moved out of office space and hauled out. I messaged him and he immediately responded and was able to take care of us that same day! Being a non-profit of all ladies he was a life saver!! The Jr League of BCS thanks him for the help and we definitely recommend him!”

“ME III Junk Solutions just removed all my moving trash I had leftovers and I can’t recommend them enough. I got multiple quotes and their rates are not only the best but the experience was way better. Starting from the beginning the quote was simple to secure while getting quotes elsewhere felt like pulling nails. The day of the removal the communication is constant you know when they’re leaving you’ll know when they arrive. They’re punctual and they work hard and fast. The price was competitive! TLDR: Easy quotes, great communication, great price 5/5”

Questions

Furniture removal: questions

Do you take apart a bed frame or sectional to get it out?
Yes, when that's what it takes to clear the door. Reasonable disassembly is part of White Glove, and it's figured into the price before the crew starts.
Can you get the old couch out before the new one is delivered?
Text photos and the delivery date. You'll get a range and the next open window, and if that window lands before the delivery, the old one is gone first.
Does a sleeper sofa cost more to remove than a regular couch?
It can. A sleeper has a steel frame and weighs more, and it may not fit through a tight turn. Send a photo and say whether it's upstairs.
Will you haul a mattress that's stained or torn?
Yes. Condition doesn't matter for haul-off. It only matters for reuse, and a worn mattress rarely gets a second life.
