Junk and brush hauling in Kurten
Kurten is a small town where SH 21, US 190 and FM 2038 meet east of Bryan. ME3 Junk Solutions hauls from homes and acreage all around it.
Kurten is ten miles east of Bryan, at the crossroads of SH 21, US 190 and FM 2038. It's an incorporated town, but a small one, and most of what surrounds it is pasture, post oak woods and homes on a few acres.
That mix makes its own kind of junk. Limbs off a storm-broken oak. A playset the kids outgrew. A garage that's been the overflow room for years. ME3 Junk Solutions takes the heavy lifting off your hands.
Henry Kurten's settlement
The town is named for Henry Kurten, a German soldier who stayed in America after his furlough ran out. He hauled freight between Mexico and Brazos County, then in 1864 bought half of Isaiah Curd's Mexican land grant and brought settlers over from Germany. Many paid for their passage by working his farm, then bought tracts of their own.
Kurten gave land for two German churches, a Black church, two cemeteries and a Masonic hall.
Before you load the pickup
Kurten counted 395 people in 2020, and most of the land around it is acreage. Out here, a lot of the hauling falls to whoever owns the place.
If you're thinking about a county site, Brazos County keeps the current locations, hours and accepted items on its trash collection page. Check it first. For a storm cleanup or a shed tear-down, you can also haul to a landfill yourself or hire it out.
What the work looks like here
- Garage and barn overflow
- Furniture, boxes and tools that outgrew the house. Garage cleanouts are priced by how much trailer space the load takes.
- Sheds and playsets
- Small structures taken apart, loaded and hauled in the same trip, so there's no pile left in the yard.
Yard debris removal in Kurten
On acreage, fallen limbs around Kurten have a way of piling up behind the house. Brazos County was in FEMA's declarations for the February 2021 winter storm and for Hurricane Beryl in July 2024, and when weather like that hits, the cleanup lands on each property owner.
ME3 Junk Solutions loads limbs, brush, leaves and old fencing and hauls them off. See yard debris removal for what's included.
